Our Wishing Well
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we know that many of you are travelling far to be with us on the day. Should you wish to honour us with a gesture on the day, a contribution to our wishing well would be warmly appreciated. Your support means so much to us as we start this new chapter together. As we are currently living in London, we kindly request no boxed gifts.
FAQ
Below are some questions that you might have about the day. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us on mirchandani.rl@gmail.com
Are children invited to the wedding?
Children are warmly welcomed to join us at the wedding ceremony. However, we kindly ask that the reception be an adults-only celebration.
What does formal attire mean?
For men, this typically includes a suit and tie/bowtie. For women, an elegant cocktail dress, long evening gown, or dressy suit is appropriate. Traditional formal Indian attire is also welcome.
How should we travel from the ceremony to the reception?
Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Queensland Art Gallery are located approximately 2.5km apart. - If the weather is good, the walk from Paddington to the Queensland Art Gallery is beautiful. - The 61 bus regularly departs from Latrobe Terrance, opposite the Paddington Hotel, and travels directly to the Cultural Centre. - A short Uber / taxi. - Drive (see Parking FAQ for more information).
Will there be parking available on the day?
Sacred Heart Catholic Church provides dedicated free parking in the nearby school, accessible via Herbert Street. There is also limited on-street parking available on the surrounding streets. The Queensland Art Gallery provides paid parking under the State Library / Queensland Art Gallery, accessible via Stanley Place. Flat fee of $17.60. There are additional carpark locations that can be found via secureparking.com.au. Disability parking is available at both venues. We kindly request that the disability parking at the church is treated as a drop-off/pickup point. This is due to its location being directly in front of where photos will be taken after the ceremony.
What can we do between the ceremony and the reception?
We look forward to welcoming you to the reception at 6pm. Before the reception commences, if you would like to stay in the Paddington area, we encourage you to check out some of our favourite spots from when we lived in the area: - Noir Paddington is a lovely wine bar, that also has great cheese boards. - Patio by Range is a favourite of Rohan's, providing craft beers, wines and food. We recommend booking if you are in a larger group. - Hope & Anchor is another good local pub, and on the way to the Queensland Art Gallery. - Blackout Paddington is a great place to grab a takeaway coffee. For a sit-down coffee, we'd recommend Merlo on Latrobe Terrace. There are many other places in Paddington and Southbank, including restaurants and bars at the Queensland Art Gallery Precinct.
